A practice that serves the whole of you
%20(2)_edited.jpg)
My practice draws on two traditions. Functional medicine taught me to listen to your whole story to find what's really driving how you feel, so we can build health, not just manage symptoms. Integrative nursing taught me that every person has an innate capacity for healing and wellbeing. My work is helping you reconnect with yours.
That’s what whole-person care means here.
HOW CARE WORKS
"Helping, fixing, and serving represent three different ways of seeing life. When you help, you see life as weak. When you fix, you see life as broken. When you serve, you see life as whole."
— Dr. Rachel Naomi Remen
What’s different about how I work
USUALLY
Most visits start with what's wrong.
HERE
This one starts with what you want your health for and how you can reconnect to that.
USUALLY
Most workups focus on the most troubling complaint.
HERE
This one looks at the interconnection of the systems underneath it.
THE FOUNDATION
We start at the foundation
Picture your health as a pyramid. At the base are digestion, nutrition, and blood sugar balance. They come first, not because they're the most interesting part of your story, but because little above them works properly when they're off.
That's why a thyroid can be treated correctly and someone can still feel unwell. The treatment can be right while the foundation underneath it is still struggling.
So we steady the base first, and build up from there.
THE QUESTIONS YOU PROBABLY HAVEN’T BEEN ASKED
01
How often do you feel connected to the people around you?
02
Is there anywhere you feel better — or worse?
03
What do you want your health for?
None of these needs a test, and every one changes what we do next.
What a first visit looks like

How long
About 60 minutes by secure video, from wherever you’re comfortable as long as you are in Minnesota.
What you’ll be asked
Your symptoms and history, and also your sleep, food, stress, relationships, and what a good day looks like for you.
What gets ordered
Labs only when the results would change what we do next.
When results come back
We go over them together at your next visit, so nothing lands in your inbox without context.
What you leave with
A plan with one or two clear places to start, not a list of twenty things to change.
This is a process, not an appointment.
WHAT TO EXPECT OVER TIME
First visit
4 to 12 weeks
About a year
Usually changes one thing, not ten.
When most people begin to notice a difference.
When measurable change is present and you are ready for more self-management.
You may never reach a perfect endpoint, but you can keep evolving, healing, and growing.
What this isn’t
My practice isn’t a replacement for your primary care provider or your specialists. I work alongside them. Some things need a referral, and when they do, I’ll tell you.
